WHAT IS SCALE?

Scale forms when dissolved minerals and salts precipitate out of the water that they are dissolved in and bond to adjacent surfaces.

The basic principle is to apply negative charges to the water being treated, thereby breaking the hydrogen bond between the water molecule and the minerals.

This change drops the minerals into suspension to prevent minerals from forming scale and, secondly this process releases the hydrogen bonding between adjacent water molecules. Water tension is then reduced between the hydrogen and the oxygen atoms.
